Apartment Monochroma
2023 |Sydney | Cammeraygal | Australia
Set on the ninth floor of a 1970s brick apartment tower in Sydney, Monochroma breaths new life into an old two-bedroom unit, bringing it firmly into the 21st Century. The apartment provides a distinctively minimalist aesthetic into this contemporary home, framing the commanding unparalleled city and harbour views to the east and north.
Responding to the clients’ desire for simplicity, the material palette is elemental, yet tactile - brushed black metalwork adds definition to the cool grey tones of the kitchen joinery, floating lightly above a natural washed oak parquetry floor. A frameless curved glass enclosure frames the study without interrupting the open plan connections between working, dining, cooking, and living.
